Karen Johnson
July 4, 1937 ~ November 18, 2020

Karen Lynn Johnson, of Bloomington, MN, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on November 18, 2020 at 83 years young.  Karen was born in Thief River Falls, MN to Hans and Valborg Chommie, on July 4, 1937.  She graduated Thief River Falls High School in 1955. She married the love of her life, Bradley Dorwald Johnson, on June 30, 1956. Together, they welcomed four children into the world.

Karen worked as an Administrative Assistant for ADC Telecommunications from 1979 to 2002 (23 years). Karen was passionate about charity and volunteering, working at an adult daycare and making as many donations to worthy causes as possible; even her last act was to donate  herself to the University of Minnesota for research.

Karen's favorite hobbies included: Spending time with family and friends, book reading, Bible Study, playing cards with apartment friends, and   watching the Minnesota Vikings (if they were winning!).  Karen took a portion of every day to sit-down and individually pray for her loved ones, the country, and the world.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bradley, and her two sons Christopher and Hans. Karen is survived by her children Elizabeth (Sean) and Scott (Glenda), two daughters-in-law, Sandy (Chris) and Becky (Hans); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren were asked to provide words to describe their Grandma Karen. These words are: Zestful, Loving,  Loyal, Fun, Sweet, Goofy, Spunky, Affectionate, Warm, Funny,  Intelligent, Protective, Sassy,    Matriarch, Gregarious, Compassionate, Fearless, Vibrant,    Laughter, Jesus-loving, Encouraging, Supportive, Inspiring, Quirky.
